Alternate Director
Ms. Grace Essendi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over fifteen (15) years of post-admission experience. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Maseno University, with a specialization in Strategic Management.
She has also undertaken senior management training, including the Senior Management Course (SMC) and the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP).
Ms. Essendi currently serves as a Principal State Counsel at the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice, where she heads the regional office in the county. In addition, she serves as a Marriage Registrar, having been gazetted in 2025.
In her legal practice, she represents the Honourable Attorney General in civil litigation and arbitration matters involving the National Government, including parastatals and State Agencies (SAGAs).
Ms. Essendi brings a wealth of legal expertise, leadership experience, and strategic insight to the Board, particularly following its elevation to a State Corporation.
