Our roadmap to a 2,000-bed medical city
JOOTRH's strategic plan outlines the hospital's transformation into a world-class Level 6A National Teaching and Referral Hospital. The plan is anchored on five strategic pillars:
- Clinical Excellence: Expand specialised services, establish centres of excellence in oncology, cardiology, neurosurgery and transplant medicine.
- Infrastructure: Deliver the Ksh 4.9 billion "Medicity" facelift — new theatres, ICUs, wards and specialised wings, growing capacity to 2,000 beds.
- Human Capital: Recruit, retain and develop top clinical and non-clinical talent.
- Teaching & Research: Strengthen the training school, residency and research programmes.
- Digital Health: Roll out the hospital ERP, electronic medical records, telemedicine and digital patient services.
