Nursing Services Department
The primary objective of the nursing department of JOOTRH is to adhere to the World Health Organization’s main objective of ensuring that all people attain the highest possible level of health. The department, therefore, endeavors to promote health and prevent illness. It also offers curative services to those who are sick and gives supportive rehabilitative services to those with complications arising from ailments.
All this is achieved through teamwork and collaboration with other health professionals.
The department takes pride in excellent specialized nursing skills in:
- Critical Care Nursing
- Perioperative nursing
- Renal Nursing
- Palliative/Oncology Nursing
- Ophthalmology Nursing
- Mental Health nursing
- Pediatric Nursing
- Anesthetist Nurse
Currently, a number of nurses are undertaking academic research at different levels, however, there is none taking place in the facility.
